Baiter today is a small park on the sea shore at the eastern end of the seafront. Today it is an open area of grass, but it has been home to Poole's fish-catchers - human and bird - for centuries. It was also the place where the Sunderland Flying Boats took off and landed during the war, and after.
Baiter is one of the locations on the Adventurers Trail which runs along the seafront, and has great content to view. Pick up a leaflet at the reception desk to follow the trail into the streets.
